Why this seat compounds: you won't be buried in one company's ledger. You'll handle the books for a portfolio of growing Amazon and Shopify brands, learn directly from senior accountants and CFOs, and grow into Senior Accountant, Finance Manager and beyond. We promote from within.

About Eightx

We provide fractional CFO and bookkeeping services for fast-growing ecommerce brands and agencies across Canada, the US and the UK, with one goal: to help ecommerce business owners scale with more cash and less stress.

We're small but growing fast, so you'll get the chance to specialize and grow into future roles. And as you'd expect of a finance company, we work hard when we need to, but not for the sake of it: we don't miss our kids' concerts, we work out during the day, and we usually sign off early on Fridays.

About the role

You're an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person joining us as a Junior Accountant. While 1–2 years of experience helps, it's not mandatory. We value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You'll have two major accountabilities: keeping financial records accurate and up to date, and owning the invoicing and billing process so payments stay on time.

You'll work across NetSuite, Shopify, Amazon Seller and Vendor Central, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Hubdoc, Dext, Google Sheets/Docs, Glew.io, Rippling, Gusto, Bill.com and more.

Time zone: 10am–5pm Pacific (PST), with some flexibility for client needs.

What you'll do

  • Organize financial transactions for accurate accounting records
  • Conduct regular bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
  • Record and track invoices and bills, following up on overdue items
  • Run and submit payroll for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Resolve minor customer and vendor issues professionally and on time
  • Support Amazon ecommerce accounting: reconciling payouts, fees, refunds and settlements via Seller/Vendor Central
  • Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping for clients on Amazon and Shopify

What you must have

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in organizing financial transactions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills: books kept current, reconciliations on schedule
  • Experience with or strong interest in QuickBooks Online and Xero
  • A solid understanding of accrual-based accounting (preferred)
  • Amazon Seller/Vendor Central exposure, including reconciliation and fee analysis, is highly valued
  • Professional communication with clients, vendors and internal teams
  • Problem-solving, proactivity, adaptability and a desire to keep learning

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience supporting ecommerce businesses, especially on Amazon, is a strong advantage.

What you'll get in return

  • Pay, in writing, up front. A full-time salary benchmarked to your market, with raises as you grow.
  • Real training and range. Learn from senior accountants and CFOs across a portfolio of brands.
  • A path that goes somewhere. Grow into Senior Accountant, Finance Manager and beyond.
  • Remote work, generous time off, plus benefits and bonuses.

How we hire

As part of early screening, we'll ask for a short 2–3 minute video (phone or webcam is fine) covering why you're interested, what you know about Eightx, your ideal work environment, your strengths, and where you see yourself in five years. You'll always hear back.

Eightx is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
